Yes . As a second generation Irishman in the U.S. , I can tell you that we've experienced a similar problem here . Blacks were held as slaves by our forefather's forefathers . . . .yet WE, the current population, get blamed for what happened a long time ago by 'other' people, not us . Same goes for Britain . Learn from our mistakes !!

If you mean the British Empire, just remember how you got it. YOU conquered many countries then added them to your country.. So if anyone should be considered a war criminal it is the BRITISH. The US is ONE continues nation with one state separated by a ocean ( Hawaii) & another by part of a country ( Alaska). We are not spread all over the globe. Beside after every war we give the country back better then before.Remember if not for us in 2 wars (WW1&2) you would be speaking German.

I am assuming, you mean the british empire.
This is confusing to people in USA or other countries.
I would say yes, do good for evil. It's what makes life livable.
