Soap and detergent don't harm silver or silver plate. If it has a diamond, I guess it is solid silver. The only thing you should be careful of is that large changes in temperature may expand or contract the metal and the setting will tend to become loose in time, resulting in a possible loss of the stone.
I would advise removing it and putting it safely on a shelf while you shower or bathe. In any case, you may catch it with the wash cloth or sponge and break the chain, if nothing else.

I am a jeweller, and one of the constant problems we have is keeping the silver stock clean and presentable.....new silver always has a protective layer whether it is plate or sterling silver, this will wear off in time, but usually lasts a couple of months depending on handling and cleaning it immediately after it is handled. Body moisture, perspiration, perfume all have a an effect. but the most common agent is the air, which oxidises the article turning it black, and heat which in combination with the air will encourage it. We know this from the ultrasonic baths we use to clean jewellery, normally the fluid in the bath is heated to a high temperature, we even steam clean certain gold and platinum items, so the heat is quite high....however when we ultrasonic silver, we always have a second cleaner at room temperature, as the heated cleaner will turn the silver black through heat and oxidisation. Therefore although your bath water will not be at 60 degrees C. it will in time cause the same effect....so my advice is to take off any silver jewellery you are wearing, and keep it out of warm moist environments, that is out of the the bathroom and the washing up bowl or sink.

I have a silver earring that stays in 365. I take it out to clean because it does seem to turn a little from water and soap. Not rust but a little black. I clean it with toothpaste. (works well)
It also has a stone of no real value but it seems fine. Check to see what type of silver first.
Hope this helps.

I've always worn my silver jewellery in the bath and everywhere else. It doesn't ruin it at all. Silver gets a little dirty over time with wear, but I clean mine with a silver cleaning cloth from time to time and it looks like new. You can get silver cleaning cloths from the jewellers.

if it is plaited then I would take it off because the water will eventually take the silver plaiting off but if it's Solid then no problem you can wear it in the water make sure you have it cleaned occasionally

No, no, no! It is never a good idea to get silver in contact with water! When you take it off leave it in a dry place.
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR NECKLACE!
