I came to Australia in 1973, from U.K. and it is the best place I have ever lived. Having never been to America I cannot give an opinion but I have met many Americans and they appear to be very similar to Aussies, so I expect their are many other similarities.
For me Australia is the best but as you have been to both and cannot choose, I will accept your view.
Nob-ody obviously hasn't been to Australia.Lol.

I live in the U.S. and I love it. Because there is different cultures from all over the world together. But I think Australia is more exotic to me because its a different country with different customs. Plus the accents are sooo fab. So I understand why its hard for you to choose.

I think the U.S. is better due to the diversity of cultures. You have little China, little Japan, Hispanic community, Arabic community, Irish community, etc... not only that but you have so many sights to see and you can see them from North South East or West. Sure Australia has those but not as many things to see and so many differences.

I'm an Australian and am probably biased but I like Australia much better. Great cultural diversity, temperate climate, and great surf beaches everywhere.
I have been to the US, but didn't like it very much.

Australia we have great beaches, cricket, theme parks,

kangaroos, possums to dance at night on your roof and
Kookaburra to laugh at you as they wake you up in the morning.
