i agree with the above i only use avg free and my computer has never been infected you can also type avg free 7.5 into the search bar at www.download.com. if you need some anti spyware protection as well, i recommend ad-aware. this is also a free program and you can get it by typing ad-aware into the search box at www.download.com

AVG is totally worthless. I recommend active virus shield. It is by far the best free antivirus program you can get.
