Try applying youghart on your face 30 minutes before you sleep. Let it dry. When your skin feels tight, wash with mild soap and rinse.

You can go to your doctor if you have spots, and he/she can give you some antibiotics (I have bad skin when I was a teenager and my doctor gave me these, they really did work)
Drink 1.5-2 litres of water a day and 5 portions of fruit and veg along with a balanced diet. Grilled chicken or fish with boilod brown rich is good for dinner and really gives an affect on your complection. Also, this tastes awful, but hot water and lemon is great for your skin. Snack on nuts, Brazil, almond, ect... They're very rich in oils.
I know your a guy and this may sound odd to you lol, but have you tried cleansing, toning and moisturising? Cliniques tradition 3-step skincare range are fantastic, I use them and my skin looks great. Mens skin is naturally more Oily than womens, so use the Liquid facial soap in the oily formuler, Clarifying Lotion strenght 3 which is designed for oily skin, and Dramaticly Different Moisturising Gel. This range not only fights spots, it refines skin and makes it look really radiant.
Don't use really harsh skincare products on your skin, you could do more harm than good, as most of them imflame the skin and causes breakouts and stress to it.
Do cardio workouts like running, excercise makes you feel great and has a huge affect on skin.
Use a clay mask for sensitive skin 1-2 times a week, and exfoliate 3-4 times. And if you ever get a spot, put a small chunk of soap on it before you go to bed at night, the soap will dry it out
Hope this helps :)

You're probably going to think I am mad but I swear by Vaseline! I have never had a pimple since using the stuff and I get very few blackheads anymore. Yes it is oily at first but you put it on before bed after you have washed your face with 'I just use water'. I make sure my skin is completely dry after I wash it. You put a coins worth in the palm of your hand and rub it in to make it warm and easier to put on your face. Rub it right in the skin then wipe all the excess Vaseline off your face with a towel. I then just apply some powder with a brush to take away the shine. I leave it until the next night, I don't even wash my face in the morning, just my eyes with a little water to get the sleep out. Vaseline works by providing a layer of protection over the skin so dirt and other grime doesn't get in. Vaseline makes skin look great and it prevents moisture loss so you don't get so many wrinkles. Tyra Banks swears by the stuff! Try it and don't be put off by the fact that it can be oily when you first put it on. You just work around it.

First and most importantly you need to be eating a healthy diet full of fruits, vegetables, and lots of water.... I use a tea tree and cornmeal soap that I get from this website missJennysSoaps.com I have used the more expensive brands such as Exposed and after paying all that money I realized taht the main ingredient was tea tree oil, a natural antiseptic that does the same thing peroxide does without the harsh effects.. If you don't want to shop online you can find a comparable soap at a health food store

The best facewash is cetaphil, it is cost effective, and works very well. It is the top rated face wash right now, and it's pretty cheap. The mosturizer as well.
