Are ripping us off? With regards to direct debits, changing packages, promising discounts and non existent customer service- waiting on the phone for 25 mins plus for an answer? Should the public start to complain more and take back some of the control?

I think all these company's rip people off, all they think about is profits, I have noticed latley that much of the customer service is rubish, they make cut backs on their customer service again for profits. The public should complain, I expect there's an underlying profit gain for keeping people waiting I bet their making money on keeping us on hold (Ive noticed the majority of numbers are 0845 ones which arn't free on all inclusive talk packs). They are so big and powerfull that one person alone does not have much voice, but if the public joins up that voice becomes louder.

Yes they are.

But our biggest ripoffs are the "taxes" that government puts on these bills.

Pull your bills out and really look at them. I pay $34.99 a month for my phone service, but my total bill is $60, that is $25 in taxes and government fees a month!

We are being starved to death by our government and the big businesses our government favors.

you are so right, customers dont complain enough and we are certainly being ripped off by them. If it comes down to it its the age of the ''great rip off'' with most dealers, shops etc.

Agreed!!!

i was saying the exact same thing to my boyfriend earlier this morning when an advert came on - i said these comapnies enjoy lying dont they to get your custom!!

Us as the public just lie back and take it, we dont fight back! and we should!

You're right.

Any 'helplines' should be FOC, afterall you're usually reporting a problem with their product or service.

It's a complete rip off, we just sit back and take it.
