YUP... at times. The difference is that as a human they require a different kind of care. In fact the human parents are emotionally invested in the baby in a way that no other mammal is, which is necessary for the growth and developement of your 'pet'. Pet suggests that a baby is a lower life form. However even if it were a lower life form, you still give it repect.

i never thought about it that way. i suppose if the child isn't yours some people might think that, but ultimately humans have feelings for other humans, and babies or not, they have emotions for the parents that can be proven with spoken conversation and understanding of love, etc which is not proven to be found in dogs, cats, etc

Our babies will never be pets.They are our offsprings who can grow up,care for me,take on my reign and that way with life.Pets will never.They will always look up to you and they are animals with brains that will never grow.

Well let's see, you have to feed them, housebreak them, teach them to behave and in some instances do tricks,you have to get them their shots, and provide a warm, comfortable, safe place to sleep. They like to be played with and they demand most of your attention(accept when they sleep) so in comparison they are close aren't they.

no, they are too intelligent to become pets. they will question everything you do or don't when they grow older.

If you referred to my children as 'pets' I would skin you alive....please don't go ahead and procreate....we don't need anymore of you in the world....
