Firstly the mother will start making a nest. She will pull quite alot of fur out and stay in there basically. She will become protective of her tummy as theyre her babys not yours lol. And if you pick her up and feel around the lower tummy if you feel tiny bumps the shape of grapes she is definitly pregnant

Some rabbits are "nasty" or moody when they are pregnant but not all. If you know someone that knows about rabbits, you can have them palpate her belly to see if they feel any of the kits. Or you can just watch and observer her. It takes about 28-32 days for a rabbit to have thier babies. Make sure that she has a nest box. When she is close to the end of her pregnancy, she will start pulling full and make a nest. Dont worry, this fur grows back. For a nest box, you can use a dish pan if you dont have a real one. It is just a box with 4 sides that the mom can hop in and out of and keep the babies safe without rolling around the cage. Dont be surprised if it is her first litter if she eats them or mutilates them. Sometimes mom's dont know what they are and do that. The 2nd litter is usually much more successful and this is very normal.
Good luck!

The first thing you'll notice is an increase in food and water intake.
Then she'll get moody, she might even growl and attempt to bite. But some females are always like this, it depends on the individual.
Then she'll start putting on the pounds. Her belly will get large, and you'll be able to feel the babies after a few weeks.
Then she'll begin building a nest, using hair from her belly.
A few days or a week later, she'll give birth to tiny pink babies.
If she is pregnant, make sure she has her own cage, as a male or another female may attempt to eat the young.
With pet rabbits, it's best to have the females spayed. This keeps that moodiness under control. In some cases they can become really aggressive, pregnant or not.

if she is you wont have to wait long to know because they multiply ...well ..like rabbits. there is a reason people say this ,and if you don't keep the boys and girls separated you'll know why. i think after the babies are weened off of mom they are able to have babies. so be careful these guys can get out of hand QUICKLY .rabbits are the only animals in the world that can reproduce at this age i think when they are like a few weeks .it's been awhile i grew up on a farm and boy did we have our hands full. we literally gave them away to everyone we knew because they just keep coming and just when you think everything was ok a male would get in with the girls (they are sneaky little rabbits) and the whole thing would start over again. so good luck and you have been warned.

How to tell if your rabbit is pregnant-
1. Your rabbit builds a nest
2. Your rabbit seems more tired
3. She is a bit more aggressive
4.She seems to be getting fatter
5.You suddenly see little rabbits in the cage.

I have found over the last 30+ years that doe's get nasty if they are not mated.
The fist thing you will find is that the doe pulls the fur from her sides and belly that she will put in to the hay or straw when she decides to make her nest.
If your doe is used to you handling her she will allow you to handel her kits and as soon as the kits arrive if you pick them all up and look at their bellies, the female kits will have two rows of teats, the male kits will not have any teats.
If your doe accepts you handling her kits you should handel them for a few minutes each day, once their eyes open you can handel them for longer periods

My brother and I have had pregnant rabbits and never noticed any difference in their behavior. Altho before the rabbit has its babies, they have to be separated from the male rabbit. Of which we would take one side of the cage and separate it to not cause this problem. bettyk

she will start pulling all her bedding around to start nesting, could lose her appitiete and obviously look fatter. she may start pulling her hair out too. i have not known them to get nasty when pregnant but may get possesive when they are born.
