Buying a title does not make one a royal, they have to either be born into a royal family of marry into a royal fam. At one time having an aristocratic lineage was a good marker for a future royal
bride or groom, but that's not always the case today. The Crown Princesses that have married in to the Spanish, Dutch, Norwegian, and Danish royal families in the last few years have come from varied backgrounds. Crwn Princesses Maxima of the Netherlands is Argentinian and was an investment banker, Crnw princess Mary of Denmark worked for Mircosoft, Princess Letitiza of Spain was a newscaster in Spain and Crwn princess Mette-Marit of Norway was a single mother before marrying Crown Prince Hakkon. She and her husband actually lived together with her son Marius before marrying, Marius has been welcomed into the Royal family fold and the Prince and Princess have added Princess Ingrid and Prince Magnus-Sverre to the family, Princess Ingrid is 3rd in line for throne behind her father.

You have to be born one or marry one. That doesn't give you too much choice.
