I have a 99 Olds Sillouette, and I had the wipers going last night, and they got stuck together (the wipers go in two differnt directions), and I got them unstuck, but the wiper on the driver's side does not move, and the one one the passenger side does. I am assumng the motor is shot, and I need a new motor for the windsheild wipers. If a new motor is needed, how much would it cost about, if I take it to the garage and have it done? Any Ideas?

1 motor moves both wipers. So I would say the motor is ok. I would check to see if the linkage came off of the wiper that isn't moving.

often, the automobiles are in undeniable sight & 2 to 4 screws carry them on with a detatchable electric powered set of wires., & 2 couplers that connects to the mechanical levers that circulate the wipers. Dont understand the fee of the motor yet no better than an hour is mandatory to alter it out. some automobiles inter-exchange & could be no concern looking those that do.

lift the hood - see if one of the rods has come off the windshield wiper motor

might be an easy fix - and then again - you might need to take it to your dealer

I would lift the hood and look first

best of luck
