Are you talking about having/running/owning your own business or getting a job?

If you mean being an entrepreneur, whatever business you go with needs to be aligned with your personal values and be something you have a passion for. If you do not have a deep passion for the business, you will fail....

anything you want.

Example I use is......

Got a car? (yes) Got a ladder? (yes) Got some rope? (yes) Got some trash bags? (yes)

Great! You are now in business as a gutter cleaner on homes. Hit up a copy store (like Kinko's) and print up $25 in business cards. Drive down the street in a nice neighborhood and knock on a door. Tell them you noticed their gutters need cleaned. You'll do this for $35. They agree.

You pull out the ladder, use the rope to secure it and you, get your hands dirty and clean out the gutters into the trash bags. In an hour or less you will be finishing up and you get paid.

Now move onto the next house. Sure some will say no, but some will say yes also.

1 house per hour, just 6 hours per day = $210 - $10 biz cards, trash bags, gasoline. or $200 per day.

$200 per day x 5 days = $1000 per week or $52,000 per yr.

Being in biz is easier than most realize

One of the easiest and quickest ways of getting into business is becoming an affiliate. This is where you sell other people's products and services on commission. You do not have to deal with packing and shipping and payments. Choose products and services you like that pay you at least 20% in commission.

Good luck.

My husband and I have an online/offline retail business that might work for you. I can't give you details here since it's against the rules of this site but send me an email if you'd like more information.
