I know that this is mostly if not all of my fault, but I still want to get my money back irregardless!

On Feb 27th, I sent $550 to an email called edstaxidermy2@yahoo.com. She first told me to sent it to edstaxidermy@yahoo.com but Paypal said that it could not receive money, so they locked it right? So I sent the payment toedstaxidermy2@yahoo.com. She thanked me for the payment and said she'd ship on the 2nd and email me the tracking number and I'd get the laptop latest by the 7th. Since then, I haven't gotten the package or heard a single email from her.

I went to Paypal and on the 3rd, I started a Paypal complain and a claim and they right now say that if she does not give any contact by the 13th, that they'd put the claim in my favor. She hasn't contacted me so far and probably won't but if they do decide it in my favor, can they get my money back? Do you think she just started the account to steal my money and then abandon it! I hope the money is still in her account! Help!

I stupidly sent the money by direct bank transfer and not credit card and did this outside Ebay or whatever. She first listed the laptop on Ebay with a brand new account but it ended in a bogus bid of like $5000 and so I offered to buy it from her outside Ebay and then her Ebay account got suspended and Ebay removed the auction, she had to be a scammer right? Please help an idiot out here, $550 is a lot to me! I hope the money is still in her account and paypal can get it back to me, is it possible for her to have just started an account and then stole my money and abandon it? I know she has two, edstaxidermy2@yahoo.com and edstaxidermy@yahoo.com
I email here and she is ignoring me I guess. Please help me out here!!!!!!

She said that she would ship it on Friday the 2nd and the same day email me the tracking number but I never heard a response so thats why I lodged the complaint. Even now, I've emailed her several times and absolutely no response and she said the laptop would come on the 7th at the very latest. So Paypal said they'd decide the case in my favor if she doesn't reply by the 13th but do you think they can actually get the money back? If the money is still in her account, I bet they will get it back but what if she withdrew it to her bank account. She has two Paypal accounts and both of them are locked now so I think she's a scammer, she also hasn't contacted me and her new Ebay account got suspended and her auction canceled as well. I'd like some serious answers please, and I know I am at fault as well.

umm.. you only gave her a day of not talking to you to thinik she scammed you? Or is it like a month... Maybe you are getting scammed or mabye they are just away from the ir comp for a few days. But ya if Paypal says that they will pull the money then they will, they are like the bank, no one can stop them :P

And with Paypal you usually have to verify your paypal account with a normal bank account or a credit card.. so I think it will be harder for him/her to cheat ya ;)

Did you initially contact Ed's Taxidermy on eBay? PayPal is a very legitimate arm of that world-wide market and they have been copied, emulated and hacked more often than not. I have recieved contacts from PayPal in the past which were not at all from PayPal and I spotted the scams because the terminology employed in the first and subsequent contacts were grammatically pathetic. PayPal issues periodic warnings and guidlines as does eBay and you could be linked to a fake not at all associated with either PayPal or eBay. Try a new letter to both www.Paypal.com and eBay.com, state your facts and learn whether you you have been hacked or are the victim of a foul ball hurled by an eBay Bandito.

If it went through PayPal and not a direct payment, you can get your money back. If you did a direct payment outside the protections of EBay then you may be out 550 bucks.
