Yes, you can eat the leaves as a salad, it is very popular in France and Switzerland, you can even by them in the shops at this time of year, You will need new young leafs as the older they get they are not good ( it is seasonal thing ), So Some leafs, some chopped up and fried bacon bits and a hard boiled egg, mix them together and a little salad dressing , it is very nice, just be careful where you get your leafs from.

Yes you may and they are very good. As a young boy I did a-lot of camping with my Dad . He would always do something different with dinner. Dandy lion greens was the best . As they are a pain in the @#%$ plant. You may dig up the whole plant root and all. Take and snip the leaves of the plant boil and add vinegar when you serve or wash well and add to a salad.
If you are interested in other off the land veggies try fiddle heads they all so are very good and can only be found in the early Spring. They are from the fern family. I hope this helps. Michael

The entire plant is edible. The greens are best when young, only 3 inches long max. The root has salts that help the body remove impurities. The flowers have been used to make wine and lively up a salad. Remember to eat your weeds dont spray them with chemicals. :)

Yes! But dandelion is a diuretic, meaning it makes your body produce more pee.

This can be good if you have water retention or ankle swelling etc, but take medical advice if you have problems with your kidneys or anything. Even fresh natural plants may have very strong effects on the body.

When I was younger my neighbor, who was like a grandma would use the greens for salad and she would take the flowers and dip them in egg and then flour and fry them until they were browned. I don't recall wether they were good or not.
