Broadband is only a few extra dollars more. Just tell her that they are having a special where broadband is the same price as dial up. Or you can say that you need broadband for school.

if you live in the uk tell her all about the talktalk deal. this gives you 8meg broadband, free phone calls to 01 and 02 numbers and a 40 gb download limit per month for only £22

You would have to do it for her. However, if you are a minor, you are pretty much stuck with it. I am sure she is living on a tight budget and cannot afford the extra costs. If you aren't a minor, change it yourself and pay for the first costs. When she sees how much better it is, she will be hooked. Good luck!!

Do some work for her, dont be lazy! SHes your mother if you want something you should work for it. Do some chorse or something, help around the house and get on her good side. =) THats what i do lol.
