definately rescue remedy, which is a combination of several flower remedies and is fantastic for stress, shock,trauma etc.ive used it for years.when i was in labour i refused any drugs and just had rescue remedy.i was almost asleep in between contractions, thats how good it is !

Rescue remedy is great if you have sudden stress, a panic attack or a shock. I always keep some in my bag in case me or my children have a fall.
If you're talking long term, ongoing stress I think some of the individual remedies might be better, check out the links Soul Doc gave above.

simple bursts of unexpected nervousness, hysteria- rescue remedy or rock rose.... look into the individual formulas, if its due to recurring thought processes, situations, you can find a more personalized formula that'll get right down to the root of the problem. talk to a ayurvedic, (maybe find a massage school and talk to someone there) or a local health food store. Rescue Remedy - just a few drops on the tongue when you are feeling stressed. Its excellant.

Bit like aromatherapy really. Like most quack remedies they see you coming. No controlled scientific work behind it though.
There is some evidence (Real evidence) that things like the aromatherapy oil lavender is good for relaxation. At least it is harmless and non addictive.
