I almost always answer the phone if it rings. Just so I know what the person wanted. But if I am avoiding someone I wont answer the phone...

Unfortunately I don't have a caller-id but I have an answering machine (how old-fashioned), and I pick up only if I am expecting a call at a given moment. My mother knows that she has to say "Hello, are you there, are you there" because otherwise I wouldn't answer my phone. My friends contact me online first - IM.

I'm a screener. I only answer if the caller ID shows a friend or family member and I feel like talking to them. Anyone else can leave a message if it's important. Sometimes when I'm bored I'll answer the telemarketers and say really stupid things and they eventually hang up on me and I laugh.

my house phone I always let the machine get it first then I hear who it is and I then decide if I want to pick up. My cell phone I just look at the caller ID and if I know the person I will pick up.

a phone call is made for a reason, i shudnt say that tho, i will wait for someone else to answer the home phne first, if its my mobile ill answer if, IF, i hear it wring, im usually skating or playing bass so its a bit of a problem...

Nope, I love caller ID especially b/c its free w/ vonage. Before caller ID I screened my calls w/ the answering machine.
