Hehe this is funny. You european guys are so excited about the PS3. That's how everyone was here in the US about the PS3 when it first came out. Now, nobody buys them yet the Wii is still sold out and the 360 still has the most sales. I'm sorry but Sony made a big mistake by including the blu-ray player. They should have made it as an option like HD-DVD for the 360. Instead of a game system, they cram a multimedia system down your throat. This is why the PS3 is overpriced. I don't want the blu-ray player, so why should I have to pay for it. The future of blu-ray looks shady anyways due to a certain industry that blu-ray won't support. We all know what happened to Betamax.

ME ME ME. What a beast of a console its gonna be. Its got 30 launch titles the games towards the end of the year are looking good, so Christmas should be great. It's on line, it's Hi-Def movies and games, Its gonna be able to record T.V and that is a true statement. Sony will update the firmware later this year. The PSP will fit it like a glove. The Formula One game released with the PS3 will allow you to use the PSP as a review mirror. How cool is that. You can also plug an external hard drive and transfer info. It has blue tooth and built in wi-fi. The price is not going to drop as Sony looses just under £100 for every console sold but they plan to make the money back in software and peripheral sales. The cheapest place to get one is Blockbuster. Seriously I've got mine there. I cancelled my pre-order with game and took my money to the blockbuster where i live. Its only £20 deposit. Release date guaranteed. There bundles are confirmed and cheap. Plus with the bundles you choose the games you want or the movies you want and you get free stuff. £25.00 worth of free rents + £5.00 off your first PS3 game. So technically you pay £394.99 for the console with £30.00 credit on your account. Check out www.blockbuster.co.uk

Cant wait.

ME! Although you may have heard that Sony (being the bastards that they are) are trying to save costs on production of the PS3 by reducing backwards compatibility. Original PS1 games won't be affected and should play just fine, but the same can't be said for PS2 games, with only a handful being compatible with the PAL version of the PS3. Whether this is a problem for some people or not, it seems a bit unfair to offer the US and Japan a superior console, and us PAL gamers an inferior console without any change in the price.

Good news is first party games for the PS3 will come at a price of A$99.95, which is a reasonable price I think for Blu-Ray games.

I'm going to wait at least another year to get one. There are no good games for it yet, it's priced way to high, and it has an ancient controller with no rumble.

Me because i know the secret of why its gonna be much bigger than the Wii or xbox. Everyone will realise it within a year...
As for idiots saying its overpriced - how much does a Blu Ray player cost on its own? £1000 so how can it be overpriced, its less than half price, doh!
