If you have seen the movie already..what is your opinion of it? I just saw it and I really enjoyed it, the visual effects were amazing...Do you think it depicts the Persians negatively...? I am not Persian but after reading the reviews on Yahoo! I see a lot of individuals are offended...

I loved that movie...but people have forgotten that the movie wasn't based on the perceptions of the Persians...it's the wole belief of dying with honor. Why is it that you think that he told the deformed looking dude..."I hope you live forever." I was a way of saying..."The only way a true spartain can die is in honor...since you will never die in honor...I hope you live forever!" I cried...I was all like woot woot...you go!!!!

I saw the movie a few days early, and it absolutely amazed me. I've never been much of a fan for war movies, but the battle scenes were so beautifully choreographed. It was incredible. Personally I can't quite understand why anyone would be terribly offended by how the movie depicts Persians...300 takes places years and year ago; what certain ethnicities of people were like then won't necessarily be the same as what they're like now. Also, the Persian army that the 300 Spartans fought wasn't comprised of only Persians. The army under Xerxes comand was composed of soldiers from all the countries he had conquered.

I saw it tonight and I loved it. The graphics, the artwork, the storyline, the effects, all of it was worth all the hype. I really enjoyed the way they depicted the body of the Spartans, so muscular and scarred, yet sexy. The Persians were to arrogant and their desire to enslave and belittle mankind to acheive God status was their downfall. I wish I could have lived during that time.

I saw it yesterday, it was an entertaining movie...as for how it depicted the Persians , it wasn't an issue with me, I see hundreds of movies a year...and realize its all just entertainment...not real life...
