its broad band" BT.". and i have a home network my hub is connected using a usb then RJ 45 to my other pc ......both wIn XP home....when i leaft pc to download something its auto disconnecting ...when is gone i need to re start the pc to get internet back on...i know lit bit about pc...BUT please help what can i do this not happening when i am working on the pc ..? its only when no one using it ..gose off and re start then it will come back on...

Check your hibernation and power options in the control panel. Also, certain motherboards are set to wake/sleep on lan, check that as well

explain clearly about u r network and since u can get net if u restart u r pc i think it is not problem from u r network but a problem from p c u r using ....plz wether u have the same problem with other pc also let m know if any msg is coming when the p c get dissconected from net if yes say me the msg also thanking u ..........

there is option in ur modem mention duration there u have to enable always on, if u have enable any other option, check the modem factory restore setting and reset the modem
