Are you googling the picture of my house? Because the junk doesnt run, and if it left it in the driveway we wouldnt be able to get the good car out of the garage....when i had a junk car, i was able to park it in the driveway, since my driveway was long enough, that i could drive around it.

I used to do that with my older cars, but then I got a car with alloy wheels so the garage was cleared out and the car is put away after every use....and yes the average British garage is useless for getting anything other than a Smart car into...though we are lucky enough to have a larger garage, not a double but bigger than average..and we still have some junk in it!

Status of course. If you left all your junk in the driveway the neighbours would think you a slob. Leave your expensive car in the driveway and they think you have so much money that your house and garage are full of good things. It's all about image, nothing more.

Because it's easier to put one car in the driveway rather than all the junk on the driveway, Besides, if you did that, you wouldn't be able to park the car in the garage anyway because you wouldn't be able to drive it in with all the junk on the driveway, lol

Talk to your wife about this idea.
Put as much of the useless junk inside the car then put the car in the garage. Two birds, one stone. You can always walk to work.

I often beg that question, especially when there are miles of cars parked outside houses, open to the weather, or worse, being stolen!?

But I do recall reading once, that you do your car no good at all to put a wet car away in the garage, not allowing it to dry, hence it rusts quicker = wonder how true THAT is?

Because I would be embarrassed to have a driveway full of old bikes, a freezer, ladders, garden tools, patio furniture and everything else that is stacked up in my garage at the moment!

That is so true - my parents have a garage and they keep their cars on the drive and the road - their garage has a freezer and tons of items from when they moved 6 years ago!!!!

Have you ever tried to put an average size car in an average British garage.Bloody things are to small. Once in, you can't open the door. You have removed most of the paint on the front and back bumpers..............That is why garages are always full of junk...

When a car is wet it is best left for the wind to dry it out rather than sitting in the garage wet this can encourage the start of rust forming
