We are 37 & 38 and we were friends in high school. We are now closer than ever and I really love talking with him. Is this normal? I don't know any other woman that has a male bst friend.

I think it's great. I have a best friend who is a woman. It's a very special relationship. I guess in the overall picture it's not the norm but I really could care less. If it works for you like it does for me, we're just a couple of very lucky people!

Yes it's normal. A little uncommon maybe. My best friend is also a guy. When people question it I just remind them of Jerry and Elaine on Seinfeld. I don't typically have female friends. Nothing in common!
While the term isn't used much anymore, there's probably a ton of tomboys out there with more male friends than they can handle.

This is very normal. I have lots of male friends who are just that - friends and we have lots of fun together and confide in each other. You should be glad that you have such a relationship. Treasure it.

There's nothing odd about it. Before my husband and I married, he was my best
friend. Guess what! He still is. You have to be friends first.
