More specifically and straying from facts......1- Do you think that black people or white people are more common to get head lice? what is your assumption...

I was asking because my boyfriend and I are having a debate. he thinks white people are well known for getting head lice. I thought it was absurd he would say that. So before you go thinking I was the racist one..think again. I told him i didn't think lice had ethnic preferences. He says black people never get lice and that white people are always getting it. I tink he's ignorant and it ticked e off he would say something like that. I just wanted to know what YOU think, like the question is stated....

I am not a head lice expert but there are many factors that you need to take into consideration. Lice like clean hair, if you work with large groups of children it is best if you use some type of product like mouse or gel to coat your hair!! Lice does not discriminate! Black, white, yellow, purple! if your hair is really clean, they like it! Some people used to think that Black people couldn't get lice but that is not true, it really depends on what kind of hair products you use, if you use a lot of oil or grease or gel, chances are it will be harder for you to get lice.

The assumption is if you get head lice, you are not paying attention to your personal hygiene regardless of race.
