can someone also please explain how emo people are emotional? doesnt make sense.
Also are emo and goth people really individuals who just like to be individual? because they all look very much the same to me and like generally the same types of music etc, they do NOT seem individual to me

yes, i'm sorry there are certain ways of dressing. You should have said what's the difference between their clothing style. But to say people? You really are letting labels cloud your judgement.
Emo and goth music and music listened to by people who dress that way is INCREDIBLY different. Open your eyes!
Emo people are emotional, yes. Jocks are emotional. Hipsters are emotional. HUMAN BEINGS are emotional. "Emo" people just happen to listen to music that has been called emo.
Stereotypes are so old and tired. Kids i know who dress "goth" are outgoing, hilarious and friendly. Thats just how they like dressing, and they're not being fake. Every person is different-use your own judgement.
I totally agree that many people who dress this way aren't individual because they all dress like their friends, but who ever said they were trying to be? How do you know that's not how they like to dress? Yes, there are a lot of emo kids who pride themselves on individuality, so that's the exception, but just take it with a grain of salt. Clothes do not define the person.

why do you care what other people are doing?
anyways, "goths" are obviously more on the darker side and not at all related to emo kids, while "emo" kids are thinking about thier emotions, if you listen to the music i guess its about that. a lot of people who clame these lables are not yet individuals but on thier ways to becomeing such by breaking away from what is considered "normal" its usually a step, not a finally.

Well, emo people, like me, either are emo because: They are depressed and don't fit in, or because it's just the latest thing. Goth people just are not caring I think. Hope this helps!

well to my knowledge i think emos are those who are emotional, usually a bit depressed, wear drainpipes and listen to angsty teen bands whereas i think being a goth is somewhat similar to being a punk.
however, goths are more interested in dark and morbid things. they too dress in black but are more into chains and spikes etc. and i think they are more into heavy metal etc.
but i do agree that both groups speak so much about being "individual" but seem to look exactly like others of their 'label'

emo people very emotional they cry alot cut em selves suicidal
&they have their music & hair style
goth wear awful dark makeup listen 2 marlyin manson they r just dark ppl
