How do you come up with these questions, bravo!...
Its almost a chemical reaction, the eyes meet and both of us instantly light up. It must depend on the energy both of us emanate (the radiance of the inner being). With some people the energy actually merges and combines (hence the feeling of "knowing" what the other person is all about, of being "exactly the same" as the other person). You sort of "fall in love" with the other person. This, I think is the first and only criterion for making friends. All the rest will follow, but without that initial compatibility of the energies, friendship is not possible.

I don't consider a person a friend until I can really get to know them...
the qualitites that I look for in seeking a friend are
1. don't beat around the bush
2. be someone that I think will be trustworthy and won't be one who is trying to steal anything that is mine
3. gotta be able to make me laugh

well friendship.. love etc just happens...
ive never selected a friend as such....
but anyways... i get attracted towards ppl who have
good sense of humour,
who is different from others,
and who know the meaning of freindship.
well they automatically become my friend then :D
