I felt the same way in the beginning. Then I learned that when someone reports you as a violator for no apparent reason, there is no investigation...a computor accepts it as face value and sends you a notice of being violated, with warnings not to do it again. I agree with you. It is all bull sh i t. If you can't beat-em join-em. I stay away from those lousy brats and there homework problems

Sorry , I have not been on this specific site long enough to know what the changes were. As for the hostility , I think that is always there no matter what you do, say , wear and go . I find more hostility towards people coming from people that either don't care much for themselves or anyone else and feel threatened so they have to cause or get attention by being abusive.

Your are right! It is there. I have a different account that I keep specifically for logging on and having fun. This one was created tonight to blast back at that idiotic excuse for a vigilante. If you see one of my questions that you don't like, you can report it. That's a great thing about Y!A. What we don't need is a volunteer who wants to come along and play mommy for people who are capable of policing themselves.

Yea, somethings are just dumb, like the stars are ok, but they should still have the thumbs up. I also don't like that someone can add you and you can't do anything about it, but I do like that there are conacts. I don't mind the top contributer but i don't know much about it. But I found it just great when I first started too.

you know you can opt out of the beta thing and just go back to normal, even if others are still using the beta, but i don't think it's that bad, and after this little while i actually like it. it was just very confusing at first and then a little annoying... but we are all adjusting and yeah. but really- you can opt out and then you won't have the whole network thing, and fans and all of that. (: we'd miss you if you left.

I quite agree with you. It was more interesting when it started.
I too was on the receiving end of unnecessary hostility. I usually try to answer a proper Qs properly.Yet.

I feel kind of alienated...kind of like I am not going to be picked for a best answer...because I have an orange box...even if mine was the best answer...(sorry to toot my own horn there..lol)....BUT I feel like there are some people who are not accepting these changes & are acting like jerks to those of us who have the orange boxes...& what not....like it is our fault....PULEEZE!....you want mine?...I will sell it to ya!....cheap!...
I know there are other issues on here too...but this is my current gripe....

I hate that "profile information" bubble that usually covers "answer this question" message. I hate the fact that anyone can add me on their contact list and I can't remove them (that could be food for stalkers, they just have to add you to... watch you), I hate that 'top contributor" thing, which I consider stupid
