I have seen them return to their home after being dumped 20 miles away. If you really really really want to be sure dump it off in a small town 50 miles away. And don't just drive straight for 50 miles... make some turns and try to make it as hard as possible for the cat to come back. Good luck

Well cats aren't like dogs, they climb, and cannot be kept in strictly in your backyard, so wandering cats are just something you have to learn to accept in every neighbohood-- I'm sure your neighbors care, but like I said their isn't much they can do to keep the cat in his yard.. And hurting the cat will not solve the issue, although I am sure it is tempting, because If I knew my neighbors hurt any of my animals they would come face to face with my riffle! However for you, they do have liquid, and pelleted products at hardware stores, home depot, lowes, and pet stores that you can put on the ground where the cat likes to go..these are not poisonous, are all mostly made from oranges (pets don't like citrus smells).. If that doesn't work. They also sell motion activated sprinklers.... when the cat is detected by the sprinkler it goes off and sprays the cat-- after a couple rounds with the sprinkler the cat should take the hint and leave.

by abandoning e.g. leaving it by the roadside/pasar/community areas or sending them to shelters, also means you are killing them. Cats could die due to stress, malnourished and heartbroken. Shelters wont keep the animals for too long. After 3 days, if nobody adopt the cat, they will put it to sleep.
i believe that everytime u feed them, they pray for u in return. But since u badly wanting to get rid of them, i suggest that u ask around, put up posters at bus stops and 7 eleven, i am sure there are many kind hearted soul out there would appreciate a furry friend.

hm.. dont throw the cat around the corner.
probably u can dump the cat at a pasar where there's a lot of food..

however, my friend told me to dump a cat u make sure it lost it sence of smell of your home. the reason being the cat keeps coming back is due to the smell..

so what i reckon is when taking the cat fill your car with prefume so that the cat lost it sence of smell. probably this will work..

Good luck

it's terrible that you want to dump your cat. Your relationship with your cat comes with a responsibility to care for it properly. If you can no longer do that, you'll have to find it a new home and help it to adjust. After you've done that, when it comes back, don't let it inside, don't feed it, don't touch it or let any of your family touch it. Call the new keeper and ask him to come get his cat.

i see many kittens and cats dead on the road everyday as i go to work. Its such a sad sight. Please dont just dump them wherever you please. Many have suggested the SPCA or PAWS..thats the best place. Or give it to someone who loves and takes good care of animals.

The best way is to hand them over to SPCA. This is an non-profit organisation who will keep them and they will pass the cats to anyone who wants to adopt them....or maybe the best way to get rid of them, is take them for a ride to another place which is far...far...away from your house and leave them over there..but make sure to leave them with plenty of places which they can find food easily..

Good luck to you...but..pity the litle fellars... :-(

If it's a stray cat and a nuisance chuck a bucket of water over him and for sure he wont be back, but if he returns chuck another bucket of water over him :-)
