Something that many people do not know is that every rainfall in the history of earth has been at least slightly acidic due to the dissolved CO2 that the droplets pick up while falling to the ground. This becomes much worse after volcanic eruptions and near modern industrial centers.

Acid rain destroys building,statues,bridges,aquatic life...plants etc...
i.e..
when it falls on bridges, acid reacts with metals and corrosion occur...when it falls on buildings and statues, made up of Carbonate, it reacts to reduce the carbonate...into carbon dioxide...plants are destroyed due to acidic soil caused by acid rain...
