Well theres Guitar and Bass Guitar. Guitar is more for higher notes and Bass for lower notes. Bass usually has 4-5 strings and Guitar usually has 6, but there are various types that have more strings than that. But normally a band will have a bassist and a guitarist. Bass guitar also has a longer neck and fatter strings than a regular guitar .
