"If you like it, I love it"
what does it mean to you? How often do you use it?

I find that I use it in a sarcastic way OR ...towards things that won't deelpy effect my life like:
friend: I feel like eatin at mcdonalds. Is that cool with you?
ME: [if] You like it, I love it.

I think it just means that you are willing to go along with the other person, no matter what.

Personally, I am more likely to say "If you like it, (I'll learn to) love it"..... with the emphasis on the 'learn', BUT........ I'd only say it to someone I loved to death who desperately wanted whatever it was; unless I thought the choice might be detrimental to them in some way.

Used indiscriminately, it can sound too much like trying to agree for the wrong reason. Sort of ingratiating yourself, and having no opinion of your own.

sounds like something a yes-man or pushover would say.

in some small cases it could be used to a lover- as a whatever make you happy makes me happy

but mostly i see it being used by a junior executive trying to brown nose his way up the corporate ladder... :)

i wouldn't use it. even if used nicely and honestly, it's still a little over the top. 'if you like it, i like it' is good enough

NO, but I agree it means that I'm happy if/when you're happy, sort of.

The phrase I use is, "When you least expect it, expect it."
