i have been attending interviews and they all ask why did you choose HR as a career. when i answer they say that this is a polished MBA answer and i am not convinced. How to answer this question?

Sigh, say, "You got me - I just can't wait to have the power to screw with ordinary working people's lives" and they'll hire you spot on.

Is it a polished MBA answer or is it your real reason?

If it's a polished answer, take some time to think of the real reason (and if it's the joke answer I gave, look for another career quick).

If it is your real answer, tell them nicely but firmly that you don't appreciate their attitude or the implication you'd be disingeuous and that you stand by your answer. It may be a test at how assertively, appropriately and effectively you handle confrontation. Sounds like you're flunking that one so far. Not a good start for HR applicants.

Say you have a passion for talking with people and making friends.

Ideally HR should have this qualification.

I guess u are not like the other HR people in this world...

Tell them Because I am interested to work in HR Department.

i like commanding the people..and 2 be respected me as hr manager....say that from childhoold i used 2 command and organise things well...
