I used to talk on MSN, Google & Yahoo messenger with my family abroad in my office, that includes confidential chats too.....Is it possible for my office IT Department to see what i m chatting??? Further please let me know if they can read my emails on msn, yahoo etc??? Thanks a lot

Yes, they can see and monitor everything. Better to do your chatting from home or an Internet cafe.
Remember that you're supposed to work when you're at work. If it was supposed to be fun, they wouldn't call it "work".

I'm sure your IT Department has no interest in reading it. But if they are, they are probably wondering why you are using company time with your personal affairs.
