I want to get my computer to better handle newer games, like Company of Heroes for example, at almost maximum potential and without any problems. I have $200. I have a good computer case, a 450watt power supply, two sticks of 512MB DDR2, an Intel Mobo that cost $130, an Intel Dual Core 1.86GHz processor, PNY PCI-express slot nVidia 7600 GS 512 MB video card, and a few stock fans along with other essentials like DVD drive and mouse and etc.

Chrishdman is stupid.
There is no such thing as "core dual 2 3.4."
Your processor is good.
You have sufficient memory, unless you load multiple programs at once.
Since you want to "handle" newer games, your video card isn't that great.
You should get a 7950, or save up some more and get the 8800's.
They are really cheap right now.
You may need a higher wattage power supply to go with those video cards.

sounds like you have all the makings for a decent rig. all you need is a cd/dvd drive, fan and a hard drive and you'll be good to go. (not to mention the obvious peripherals). the Dual Core processor is a good choice, along with your video card and memory options.

i'd say go down to your computer store and pick up a decently sized hard drive (100gb+) and a slighly higher run-of-the-mill fan, and your basic disk drive. i dont think that should cost you more than 200, if it does, it shouldn't be too much.

ps. you have a monitor too, right?? :-)
