hey hey! i saw something wrong in someone's answer.it says sri lanka won 1996 semifinal match between india & sri lanka because of the indian crowed who act in wrong way.but tell me how can india win that match when they are lost 8 wickets for 124.they have no batsmen left,only bowlers,please don't underestimate sri lankan cricket team like that.

Sri lanka cant be underestimated.. Sri Lanka are one of the top contenders for the World Cup.
They have a list of 11 good players in the playing 11.
Their batting line is quite experienced and should do well. Even, the conditions would suit the lankans, they enjoying playing on slow n low wickets, which is their strength. We all know how tough lanka are when playing on those conditions which suit them.
Sanath jayasurya would like to finish his career with glory.

Since cricket is a game of uncertainties and as the outcome of the match fully depends upon who plays well on the particular day, no team can be under estimated. Sri Lanka have a strong and well balanced team and are capable of defeating any team in the world.

Are u Srilankan by the way? In any case, here is my answer.Your reference to an incident in an earlier Word Cup is, to say the least, aburd. Past is past and even an ODI played just 24 hours before cannot be a pointer to the form of a team in cricket. As is being printed in the media, the current Srilankan team can be a potential contender for the title provided they click in all departments of the game. Best of luck to your Srilankan team!!!!!
