I was giving a suppositories(anal tablets) while pregnant. I kept throwing up continuously with my first daughter and got dehydrated and was rushed to the er. They worked very well and i was happy i didnt have to put anything in my mouth. Sorry that you are 13 weeks and still sick usually after 12 weeks this has faded and your start to feel better and can eat, maybe yours will just take a little longer and you will start to feel better. I never heard of those patches but it is also good that your doctor was smart enough not to give you anything to put in your mouth for medication because then you would never feel better. Ask them about the suppositories next visit if your remain sick and the patches dont work. good luck and congrats

Oh my god, i know exactly how you feel. I was at the point where if anyone was to say to me one more time "it will pass" I was going to knock em out! So I wont say that. But what I will say if from 13 weeks it was subsiding and I am now able to eat. I know its no consolation as it is how you are feeling right now. I was ill from 5 weeks and was off work until I was 13weeks. It was so hard, one of the hardest things I went through, I asked myselk if it was worth it but I knew deep down it was.Others may try and tell you to try dry crackers , ginger ect but I really feel thats for people with the "normal" bout of morning sickness. The only things that worked for me, and I was actually told that it would aggrevate things, were spicey food such as pakora and also I loved drinking pepsi max. If there is anything at all that will stay down, eat it and eat loads of it. It doesnt matter if its unhealthy, this is what my doc said. Cause the baby is getting nutrients from other places. I was in hospital on a drip and had ketones in my urine, the only thing that they gave me which worked, was "stemasil",they gave me a shot of that in my bum cheek, think thats how you spell it. Anyway, its not until recently that I heard of these patches. I have heard good things. I hope that they work for you as when I was going through what you are now, it felt like hell on earth with no end.If you ever need to chat, add me to your list or email me. Good luck!

I had to take a pill and it didn't work at all. I am 23 weeks with my third and am just now able to eat. If something smells too much, even if it is a good smell, I will still hurl. If you can get a friend or your hubby to make something that sounds good (if you try to cook it you will throw up). And then eat it and have them take the dish as soon as you are done (which may be after two bites). Its okay to be weird and while you feel like you are going crazy, you're not, you are just having a tough time of it. Try to think of it this way, strong hormones make strong babies. Best of luck, hope it goes away soon.
(Ginger really works, sometimes).

I have never even heard of those patches but my doctor wrote me out phenergan but it did not help me at all.
I threw up all day long from the time i was 2 months up until the day i had my son. It was pure hell. I only gained 10 pounds during my pregnancy but my son was very healthy, he weighed almost 5 pounds at birth and now he is a happy, healthy 5 year old.

My doctor never gave me anything. I was able to keep some foods down for a couple of hours but then it would come up. Salty foods helped me out a lot. Also peanut butter and toast. Just some suggestions.

I have no idea what those patches are but my wife got something called herbal ginger capsules at GNC (General Nutrition Center). They worked wonders on her. As for the medication, try going to WEBMD and typing in the name of the patches and read up on it. I can't offer more than that.

I used Unisom pills and B6 pills. the blend worked super. you additionally can attempt Preggie Pops (obtainable at BabiesRUs, and in all probability aim and places like that too). Ginger enables. Getting sleep. eating what you crave. sturdy success! I had morning disease for 7 finished months, all day familiar. It sucks, whether that is nicely worth it. i do no longer advise getting prescribed any meds till the disease is endangering your infant's wellbeing.

It's many years ago that I was pregnant and I used to nibble on a rich tea biscuit and it was fine, I wouldn't take anything for morning sickness, please try something other as many years ago a drug was given and the results of that were awful. It will pass good luck and take care.
