Raleigh is a great city for traveling with a family. There are many attractions good for young kids, teenagers, and adults of all ages.
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences was founded in 1879 and was moved into a new building in 2000. The museum has exhibits related to the agricultural and natural histories of the State of North Carolina.
Another popular destination that kids and adults will enjoy is Artspace. Artspace is a visual arts center that allows visitors to watch artists create their masterpieces in an open studio environment.
Visitors of all ages will enjoy a visit to North Carolina’s Museum of History. Inside the museum includes the North Carolina’s Sports Hall of Fame as well as a visual history of the state’s people and past. The museum also often features crafts and music. Admission is free.
Playspace Children’s Museum is a place for children up to age seven. The museum is dedicated to the development of young children, and most of the activities there are hands-on and creative-play oriented.
Frankie’s Fun Park is an amusement park filled with activities such as rides, miniature golf, bumper boats, laser tag, batting cages, and lots of food. Admission to Frankie’s is free… it’s “pay as you play.”
