Why would someone be fine when they're sober and be SO MEAN when they're drunk. I have a friend (maybe I should stop calling her that) who is so NASTY to me when she's drunk. Why would she be like that. She's not shitty to everyone else. What is that?! Should I be taking that personally or is sh mentally ill?!

It is sad but some people get mean when they drink too much and then they turn to the ones they like or love and take out all their frustrations.
My sister used to do that to me and I finally told her to knock it off. We parted ways for about ten years and didn't speak at all. Now she treats me with a little respect and we talk again. I think if you told the friend what she is doing to you and you don't like it . If she gets angry (which most would) at least she will maybe think about it next time she treats you wrong. If not ....move on and let the friendship go.
