We have great sex when together but seem to be just winding up to fantastic loving wonderful togetherness and then we are apart. We use the telephone to stay in touch but I still feel bereft and can't get into phone sex.

you have to choose between your partner and need of frequent sex.
you need to forgo one to keep the other.
discuss with your partner and explore all the possibilities so that you two have togetherness quiet often. This will definitely come with a price, which you have to pay.
ultimately money is not everything in life.
