i hav dis competition in my college where stuff like pencils,straws,erasers,plastic spoons,paper cutters,matchsticks and glue would be provivded.what can i make that is winning material??

If you look on craftster.org, you will find a lot of great ideas.
Sculptures are easy. Does it have to be something that can be used? You can make a vest, or maybe a toy.

I'm afraid you're not off to a very good start. It's an exercise that is supposed to get your imagination going. As you go about your daily life today, pay close attention to everything that you touch and see. What can be duplicated using found objects?
For us to give you the amswer would be to defeat the purpose of the assignment. Come on, this is your education! What are you doing in college if you don't want to do the work?

Make a mobile. That's always an impressive art form, especially if you can make it work with junk.
