Royal mail question?

Why is it when my dad posted a parcel to me on the 9th and another on the 21st they both arrived on the 23rd and two that my mate posted to me both took 2 weeks to arrive when the royal mail say standard parcels take 2 - 3 working days

then you ring up and complain as it sounds like the first parcel was lost....

it can happen as the sorting offices are big places....but saying that the parcel should have been delivered on time...

from a ex postwoman.

I guess the van driver took the parcels back to the depot and claimed you were not in.
