Seriously..... I would have to say that my soul mate would have been James Dillingham Young. If you recall, he is a character in O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi." I suppose I've always felt that when you are in love you are willing to make sacrifices for the one you truly care about. Jim definitely does this for his Della. (Hey... her name starts with De....lol) Della of course is willing to make sacrifices for her love as well.
True this is not a person from another time....... but from another place. Fiction. So I've often wondered if such a man exists. Lately, I've started to believe he does.

Your question does not add up ... you only HAVE ONE SOUL MATE, why would you want to hurt your "number one" by running off to some "madonna"? Do not take this as negative reproach to you... it is just a notion on WHAT A DEFINITION OF "soul mate" is. Yes we may have dates or wives in lives who are NOT OUR "number one soul mate" and that may be because of a number of reasons but in ALL THAT IS each man has ONLY ONE unique "soul mate" : picture a box of marbles and all the "humans" who would ever exist are in the box and then picture the HUMANS rolling around to where they "lodge in with" their ONE UNIQUE OTHER... and well that is the way it sounds BEST does it not?~ no fooling around you know. When you come back or your SOUL MATE comes back your hope is that you can do the right things as to be able to as SOON as possible GET TOGETHER again. (these are just my thoughts)

I know I have been with my soul mate over and over, over different lifetimes.....if such a thing exists.
But have you ever met someone that you know so intimately that you can only have been with them before. This is how I feel. There is the acceptance and knowledge of each other. It is just there.
We may not be together in this lifetime, but there is always the next one, isn't there....smile
It's a lovely dream and thought.

I love to hear a man sing and play piano... ok ok ok so Jerry Lee Lewis sang and played and so did Little Richard and Elvis.. but great balls of fire.. they just weren't my type. My favorite singer player is Hoagie Carmichael. My favorite all time music is Clair d' lune by Claude Debussy

I would like to go back and see my best friend, Jerry. He drowned many years ago. I still miss him and will never have another friend like him. He was a special person and made the world a much better place.
