What I mean is....why do men get looked down upon for loving one (usually a female) who has had a promiscuous past? I have a drug-disease-free girlfriend who has had quite a few (if I say so myself) intimate Love interests in her day. My friends, some of my family, and even some of her family and friends scold me for embracing her, despite her past. Should I care? Or am I really a "sucker for Love"? Regardless, I WILL be with her, but in the back of my mind, these questions persist, and that's why I'm asking you. ANYONE been with someone like that....or been in the same boots as mine? Just tell me something please? Does she deserve my love? I forgot to mention that she took my virginity. Does that matter?

Okay...first of all, love is unselfish, and has no boundaries.
If you truly love her, what other people think of her doesn't really matter, you yourself should know the most what kind of person she is.

So? What even if she's been all bad in the past? Isn't what she is now matters the most? If she had changed, then it's worth being with her, since not everyone is willing to change.

About the part she took your virginity...if you are willing to sleep with her in the first place, that doesn't count. It takes two to tango... So,no. No one's wrong in this case, both of you were in love, it's a natural thing.

Your family and friends are just looking out for you. I have been out with someone who had a lot of baggage. And because, my friends and family didn't like him, our relationship lasted a lot longer than it should of. Ask yourself, are you with this girl because she was your first. Do you love her. Or are you with her because everyone disagrees with the relationship. If you love her for who she is, and how she treats you, then you should be with her. Only you know if this girl deserves your love.

Consider how she treats you right now. That's what matters most.

If she is a player and leaves you or cheats on you, that's difficult, but you'll survive. If she's good to you now, why not take the chance?

Why is this in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered?

If you love someone, you often have to accept them for who they are. If she's changed, her past shouldn't matter (as long as it doesn't hurt you). Why does your family know? Some business you should keep to yourself.
