Good teachers are like all interesting people, still curious.
Any good teacher will tell you, if he is honest, how much he learns while teaching.
I come from a teaching family, 4 generations.
I am a nurse, I was...
Now I write and draw.
The knack is to transmit you knowledge, whatever it is, and accept you can increase it by doing so.
Everybody at some level is a teacher, but only a part of them are still open to learn.

I prefer to learn from others, although I usually answer questions. I monitor a telephone system and help others to understand features. I try to learn from every question. I believe life is continous lessons, when I stop learning I will be dead.

I prefer to be a teacher, but I find that I learn daily from my students.
I am a speech-language pathologist in a public school.

The Buddha said that a teacher is only a student further along the path. If those of us who teach are not students, we are not worthy to be teachers.

Both. I have four kids and I really enjoy teaching them new things, because of their excitement as they take it all in. I also really enjoy learning, and research everything I get curious about. I'm a stay-at-home mom.
