i have a few interviews to go to next week and i was woundering if i should buy a pair of pants rather than jeans.

usualy i buy a new pair of darkblue jeans for interviews but sience i have been to so many and nothing ever came of them i thought i should try pants now.

my other clothes would be a dark red or dark blue button down shirt, black hiking boots and my new pants.

i like dark colors, but not black, black makes me look way too thin.

oh yeah i am male...or so they tell me any way.

Jeans are generally a no-no. You havent said what kind of job you are going for so that makes it hard to give advice accurately. I would definitely suggest the pants. You dont want to look to casual or you run the risk of giving the impression tht you dont care enough about the job to dress appropriately, or may be dont know what is required of you. If you get a chance try to suss out what other people in that field wear and try to hit a notch higher.

It depends on what kind of job you are interviewing for. A store or mall job, nice jeans should be fine. HOWEVER, if you are interviewing for any kind of office job you need to look your very best. I am a sales manager and when i interview my prospective employees I look at EVERYTHING including their shoes. I figure I am getting the very best of what they have for the first impression. If they look sloppy or otherwise dressed away from the part I absolutely NEVER hire them, as I know their dress style will only relax.

A little note for you: The better you dress, the better you feel, the better you perform. Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll end up among the stars!

Use your best judgement, if your best judgement says wear jeans for a clerical interview then you are applying in the wrong field.

Jeans are too casual for most job interviews. Wear some slacks and a button down shirt.

I think it depends on what types of jobs you're interviewing for.
If it's sales, business, etc.. then go with pants. If it's factory, landscaping, heavy work, etc.. then jeans would be appropriate.

to be honest it depends on where the interview is. I'm a store supervisor so i guess to be honest i would say it looks better when you don't

Pants and a shirt. Not too showy, not too law-dressed.
