If you listen to sh*t music, slit your wrists, are always depressed, then your probably emo. It's just another word for "goth".

Well, you dress a certain way; some emos wear tight pants and black eyeliner.( Great senses of style!) Emo means emotional so the music has more meaning to it, not like country but they do talk about feelings alot of how they're feeling.Some of the best emo bands are Weezer, My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy,Panic! at the Disco, Tokyo Rose,30 Seconds to Mars,and Alice Nine.Real emo guys are normal but they tend to be into what they wear, some of them anyways and the eyeliner of course. Lol, it brings out the color of their eyes, I love it! Emo has a catchy beat and is easy to like. Check out some of bands above if you've never heard of them. I used to not know what emo was and even a dislike at first, until I was introduced to more and more emo from my cousin and best friend. They brought them by coincidence, not by me asking and my curiousity.Emo guys that I know are just like other guys. But like I said tight pants and eyeliner, more feeling to lyrics.

i don't know what an emo is. I'm sorry. but maybe you should ask an emo. and they will decipher your similarities and differences.

If you're a spoiled rich kid trying to act as though you're disadvantaged, "messed up" and have had a "hard life".
You dress sort of preppy, sort of goth. More trendy than scary.

your depressed non stop dress in tight atire and its mostly black and your extremely emotional and listen to music that makes peoples heads hurt.
