IF you are entering the actual scores next to the teams in cells e.g. D1 and F1 then =IF(D1=F1,1,IF(D1>F1,2,0))
That reads if a draw,1 point, if a win 2 points, otherwise 0 points,

Yep, an IF formula will do this, look in Excel Help for excellent examples.

For a simple version, this gives you 1 if a win, else it gives you 2: =IF(A2="Win", "1","2")

You'll need to add an OR function to encompass all three options.

You could either use an if statement or just type the results in. Transfer data from one table to the other and then use a points system to make totals.

Being a Man Utd fan, I can assure you I won't forget that game in a hurry. I was in a remote part of Chittagong, Bangladesh and we didn't have coverage of the game. Thankfully, we had internet on our mobile phones and we followed it through live text. From the four of us three were Man Utd and one was Liverpool. He celebrated like there was no tomorrow and was totally sure of winning the league that year. But alas, it was ours and quite a special one too. We were now on the same perch as Liverpool.
