It is a quote attributed to Winston Churchhill. At a fancy dinner(legend has it) a certain haughty madame said she would put poison in his wine if they were married. He, of course, said he would drink it. It makes for a great story. Is it true? Who knows. The guy could think on his feet, even when he was sitting down.

Probably one of the best and famous comebacks of all time.
You have to admire a man who can come up with something that funny and has a bite to it at the same time.

Ah yes, the wit of Winston...did you know he was almost permanently sozzled? Which is a lead-in to another great double-act moment of his:
Lady: Mr Churchill, you are drunk.
Churchill: Madam, I may be drunk, but you are ugly. And in the morning, I shall be sober.
So maybe the only way for a reconcilliation with poison-girl would be to make sure the only poison in the house was hooch. Then drink all the coffee you like, and get prgressively drunker. Recipe for a happy marriage?

Now THAT sounds like real modern day love to me! Anytime a woman wants to collect insurance money and the poor man is willing to help...TRUE LOVE! Hey, why is it that a man will date a woman that works at McDonalds, but a woman will not give a man that works at McDonalds a second glance? MEN are the prize! we are the lottery for them broads! They are leaches trying to get all they can from a poor fool! I know! I am getting hammered by mine all the time! Us guys need to learn to live without em! We would be happier!

Isn't that a quote from Winston Churchill?
According to http://www.stratsplace.com/rogov/heimlich.html
When Winston Churchill was breakfasting at Blenheim Palace, he entered into an acrimonious argument with Nancy Astor. In a pique, Nancy snapped: "Winston, I were married to you, I'd put poison in your coffee." Churchill retorted: "Nancy, if I were married to you, I'd drink it".
I knew I had heard that somewhere! :)

If you guys are being that mean to each other, why are you even thinking about what the chances are of getting back with her? Do you enjoy verbally abusive realtionships? Or do you guys just share a dark sense of humor?

If you want to drink poison coffee, the chances of you getting back together would be high.
If you don't want to drink poison coffee, the chances of getting back together would be low.

Haha, I guess if you both wanted to get back together you'd eventually get back together. If not, the threats (whether jokingly or not) will probably continue. Make out a will-- QUICK!
