I started with 6.0, but upgraded, and when I did, my file, option, view, etc; everything is gone from the top of the browser. I can't access internet options from control panel either. It won't open. The browser allows me to surf the web and go to my home page, but I can't do anything else with it.

It should automatically revert back to IE6, but I've heard of some cases where it didn't. Be ready to manually install IE6, just in case.

Anyway. Your File, Edit, etc, is hidden until you press the ALT key on your keyboard in IE7.

properly i attempted to pass to uninstall courses and uninstall IE7 by way of fact after utilising it for decrease than 4 hours I hated it. I then downloaded IE6 back and it would not get carry of by way of fact IE7 had embedded itself into the "coronary heart" of my device. I did a restoration to do away with it! I even have WinXP professional and my laptop is 6 months old, Pentuim (R) D cpu 3.00GHs i Gig of ram and so on. I say that IE7 is a stinker and that i won't have the capacity to apply it back!!!!!

I needed to go back to 6.0 but was unable. IE7 didn't fully uninstall the official route, and even after cleaning it out by hand, IE6 still insisted there was a newer version installed.

If you figure out how, congrats! I wasn't so lucky, and I'm a software engineer.
