Here are some statics on the latest listed models on this website. http://www.car-videos.net/performance

The top speeds assume that there are no factory restrictions in place.

1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33) 5-speed Manual - top speed 156 mph

1994 Toyota Supra Turbo 6-speed Manual - top speed 167 mph

1994 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 6-speed Manual - top speed 159 mph

2003 Mitsubishi EVO 5-speed Manual - top speed 153 mph

1998 Subaru 22B STI - 5-speed Manual - top speed 150 mph

2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - 6-speed Manual - 176 mph

It would appear that the Corvette Z06 is the fastest out of all of the cars.

OOOH what a good question!

The only things I know about the VR4, the Evo, and the STI is that I don't like 'em and they will never stand up to the Supra or the Skyline. I realize that some of the other cars you listed may have more HP, but I am *certain* that they would still get their doors blown off.

I love the Supras, been a fan of them for years, and have owned 5 MKIIIs, but I can't help but love the Skyline as well, particularly the R34. I love the fact that most people would not be able to identify either car if they saw it on the street, which to me, says that they are cars for true car enthusiasts. anyone can identify a Corvette, which to me, makes it too plain, and too accessible.

OK, we are talking strictly numbers here... the Skyline and the Supra both roll (or should I say "rolled") off the assembly line with BHP just shy of 400 and around 300 lbs of torque. These cars are monsters to begin with. The R34 can handle around 600 horses with no major engine modification needed. That is an incredible engine (I wish the same could be said for the poor Supras; as much as I love them, I've found the engines need a lot of... reinforcement if you are going to try and pull that much power out of it... found out the hard way...). Also, the Supra and the Skyline are both hefty cars, and I've heard that Vettes are a bit lighter so that may play into this whole thing. Both the Supra and the Skyline can be modified (heavily modified I must say) to put out around 1500 horses. THAT is a lot of power and something I haven't seen from a Vette. I hate to go through all this explaining, and not be able to come up with an answer but I think it is really a tough call. So I am just going to play favorites and say that the Supra is the fastest (and although I admire the design on the new Vettes, I still prefer the look of the MKIV anyday).

EDIT: And as far as handling... I don't know... I've never driven a Vette but I have seen lots of people lose control and they are constantly being wrecked... the Supra handles like a dream...

the Corvette Z06. It makes more power than all the others (505hp) and hits 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds and the 1/4 mile in 11.7. It also handles better than any of those other cars.

The Z06 tops out at 198 mph, right off the showroom floor. The others aren't even close.

Bone stock wise, Covett would be the winner.
When it comes to modding, nothing can beat the Supra...
