Have to be Pearl Jam. I had promised my grandfather I would drive out to see him one summer and coincided the trip with the show. Left Denver at 9pm and drove straight through 997 miles to the show getting there 2 hours early giving me time to spend a few hours chatting with the other concert goers (who thought I was totally cool for the drive) before the show. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, or the fact that I had been couped up in the car so long, but that was definately the best show I have ever seen.

The best concert I went to see was Santana. I enjoyed the first concert so much that I went to see them again. What can you say about Carlos except that he is great. I found Santana's concerts really relaxing. The only problem is I could have watched them all night. I enjoyed myself that much.

I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn at the Toledo Sports Arena ( in Toledo, OH of course) with 2000 other people in the festival seating venue set-up.
Anyone that has been to a concert at the Sports Arena knows what's so amazing about that.
Usually its about 8000 people and so crowded you can't even move and hot: unbelievably, uncomfortably, sweaty hot even in the dead of winter.
Oh, and SRV was cooking. We lost a great talent when he went down in that helicopter.

Well it wasn't a concert, it was in a small venue in Pennsylvania.
This guy Koji on the Roof was playing, and it was just an asian kid and his guitar. And it was a really hot day, and I was one of like... 4 people who showed up. And he just sat on the stage and told stories, shared his beliefs and opinions, and convinced the entire room we were all beautiful.
A real earthy-type.
Not only were his songs amazing, but it was so close and personal. Everybody sat on the floor, sort of sprawled out, or Indian style.

We went to see a "Black Music Review". That's where these ORIGINAL bands from the 70's and 80's perform. After the show, Chaka Khan invited our group back stage. (Why she picked us, I have no idea). We partied with them in their very large trailer all night! She acted like she knew us all her life! She signed autographs, sang for us, and with us. It was amazing.
I wonder if she always does that at her concerts???
