Dial 666, ask for Satan and tell him you want to sell your soul in exchange for great power. It worked for Cheney.

If you want to run for president 14 years from now, you need to be in office sometime soon and have a compelling platform. You need to have an issue which you care and which others will support or you have no shot at being elected.

You could run for your state legislature. Then you could get elected either to Congress or as Governor.

Unless you've been elected as a Governor, Big City Mayor, Congressional Representative, or Senator, you can't be elected president.

Preferably, you'll support limited government and the Constitution. We don't need any more big government politicians. One would be more than enough and we've got thousands of them.

Go to law school. Get a job in a DC based firm.

As for becoming president, I'd start with campaigning for congressional candidates, volunteering with your local party, making friends with influential people, etc. When you're ready, run for State leg to get your feet wet, or go straight to running for congress if you're up for it. After a few terms, decide whether you want to run for Senate or the governorship of your state. By then, you'll have a more clear idea of what you need to do to blaze your own path to the top.

good luck,
Rob

You need to learn to be very slick, be able to talk people out of their lunch money, and lie out of both sides of your mouth at the same time.
Then find a idea that wants tax breaks and talk them in to hiring you.
Is this not what the people running for office today do??

If you don't know how to become a lobbyist, you aren't going to be elected president.
